If I were to go to Japan and pull my eyes slanted...?

I was just wondering, if I were to go to Japan and pull my eyes back so they were slanted as a joke (note that I'm white), would the Japanese people take offence? I mean, for Far Eastern Asians living in the west, a white or black person doing such a thing would cause offence, but would it be bad in a place where everyone was Japanese?
