Can I make a Faux-Hawk with a Cowlick?

Well I have a Cowlick on the right side of my hair. When i try to make a FauxHawk I spike it up normally and stuff and on the left it looks perfect but on the right its kinda slanted and doesnt look right. Is there any kinda of Gel / Creme / Hairspray I can use to make it stand up right and if so can you tell me the steps to making it. Thanks.
