True Moderate Muslims?

Good luck in your endeavour. I was born Jewish but truly believe that Islam meaning submission is an attitude of the soul whatever the religion. Also the concept of Ihsan doing good or pleasantness is one that I heartily approve. The Jihad as such is with oneself not with others . I think the saying of Jesus why look for the mote in your brothers eye when there is a beam in yours is very true. Religion can either be exoteric and a societal thing, or of the heart with a deep meaning and purpose. There are those in the West who seek these things as much as in the East, and the West is indeed subject to corruption and oppression as much as Islamic countries although maybe in a more modern way.
