How do i clear the bloodshot out of my eyes?

my friend accidentally stuck me in the eye with her long finger nail . Now on my sclera (white part of eye) there is like a 1.5 cm slant and blood covers up the mark. My friends told me to flush my eye out with salt water .Can some one just tell me a home made remedy to take the blood out of eye quickly (bloodshot ). Please do not tell me to go to the doctor .if you have something bad to say keep it to your self
