Im afraid I wont get into uni... is it possible I can go on some sort of short list if I fail i live in UK btw?

Ive just done a BTEC National Diploma in Media Production and and to go on to do PR. Ive been made a conditional offer for Uni but think I wont meet the asked ucan points they are asking 280 and Ive worked it out at about 200. Is there something I can do to get myself in a lower like foundation course last minute if the university does not exept me???
