Did you ever see the animated movie Persepolis?

Came out in 2007, was a story which took place in Iran seen though the eyes of a sweet little girl from a loving family. My Dad had worked in Iran in the late 70's and many things he told me about life and the nice people he met there was reflected in the beginning of this story. The movie is based on a true story. Todays political climate in the middle east has seemly begun a new cycle. The quote from a AP press news article "Bin Laden died in Egypt before he was killed in Pakistan," said Abdulkhaleq Abdullah, a professor of political science at Emirates University. "The young people who successfully challenged the status quo with peaceful means proved change the bin Laden way — the violent way, the jihad way — did not come. Viewing the movie made me think about the cycles of violences, then more peaceful means of change. History does repeat itself. Where are we in the US in our own cycle? Sometimes it is hard to see the big picture.
