Qur'an Alone Muslims are Muslims who accept only the Qur'an as a mercy and guide from Allah (SWT) and reject the hadith as man-made. We favor a progressive, common sense interpretation of the Qur'an, that not all of it is "for all time", but instead some parts were specific revelations intended for the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions during their time in Mecca and Medina, when they were being persecuted by the polytheist Arabs. Other parts, like commandments to pray, give to charity, fast, and the things that are prohibited for Muslims (blood, meat of an animal who wasn't killed in an acceptable way, pork, alcohol, gambling) are considered valid and for all time.
