What do the words jihad and kuffar mean to the average muslim and how do they affect them as a person?

Every Muslim should know what Jihad is if he doesnt know the meaning than hes not a muslim. Jihad means to strive for struggle holy war against those whos against your faith. Yes most people call non muslims kuffar they are not insulting or anything its just a way of calling non muslims.
