Was Osama trained to kill by the US government before he went bad, sort of like another Timothy McVeigh?

He was trained by the CIA... but I think he came after Carter... but I'd have to go back and look at the time lines to make sure. Osama came in at the end of the Afghan war against the USSR (which we funded and trained... from which today's Al Queada mutated from)... but that's water under the bridge, or whatever. We have now officially proved that capitalist nations can go further into debt that communist nations to fight insurgents.
