Can I get some advice on what to concerning a great career and how to get there please?

Basically, I am trying to get out of my city of Rancho Cucamonga, but I don't have a strong financial foundation (part-time job) for myself. I am interested in a career where there is cooking involved, since massage therapy doesn't seem to be in the recession proof category, and I can cook pretty well with recipes. I just need to know where I can go and what I need to do to get there so I am not stuck at home with my mom when I'm 20 years old! What's some good advice?
