Do you think Christianity and Islam would have made it so far without crusades and jihad ?

Christianity became one of the World's largest religions because people were willing to die for it when they were being persecuted by the Romans. The Crusades were not authorized by the scriptures. If they were, show me where. And anything from the OT about the Israelites being commanded to remove the Canaanites has nothing to do with the crusades. The crusaders were not the biblical nation of Israel and the muslims were not the Canaanites. The crusaders hated Jews and the muslims at the time lived in peace with the Jews.
